Mug Haiti <> Ti-machin Katpakat

David Batis, born in 1977 in Site Solèy, looks at the collection of photos of items Made in Haiti on my iPad with a group of other vendors, inside the Mache Anfè. When he gets to the children's cars, he starts to get excited, jumping and shouting. He used to make them when he was 10-15 years old... What memories! He would use any old tin can found on the ground and cut it with some sort of chisel. The wheels were made from the soles of beach sandals and the shocks with strips of black steel used to hold bundles of used clothes from the United States.
